- Chao Yng Che'eng
- (d. 1657)Chinese civil servant. He was born in Kaifeng. He entered public service as a mandarin and served at Fukien (1650-3), and in Hukwang (1656-7). He was largely respon-sible for rebuilding the Kaifeng synagogue in 1653. Although he was regarded as a Confucian mandarin when in Fukien, he lived as a religious Jew when in Honan, his home province.
